2 c. milk 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast 1 egg 5-6 c. flour Scald milk 2 sticks butter Cherries Brown sugar Cinnamon Crushed walnuts Pour over butter, sugar, and salt. Stir to melt butter. When lukewarm add yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water. Add egg and beat well. Add egg and beat well. Add flour. When right consistency, cover and let rise until double. Melt 2 sticks of butter. Pour half in angel food pan. Cover with brown sugar, cinnamon, to taste and nuts. Arrange cherries for looks. Place one layer of rolls in pan. Add remaining butter, more brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts. Add another layer of rolls. Let rise to about 1 inch from top of pan. Bake at 275 degrees for 35 minutes. Remove and serve upside down. while warm. |
