BEEF AND BISCUIT CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. green pepper, optional
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. refrigerator biscuits
1 c. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg

Brown ground beef, onion, pepper. Drain. Add tomato sauce and spices. Stir. Simmer while preparing dough.

Cut refrigerator biscuits in half crosswise. Press 10 layers over bottom of ungreased casserole.

Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg. Mix. Remove meat from heat. Stir in cream mixture. Spoon over dough. Put ten 1/2 biscuits on top. Sprinkle 1/2 cheese on top. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
