GRAMMY'S RICE PUDDING 
1 qt. water
1 c. rice (not instant)
1 qt. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt

Cook rice over low heat until water disappears. Add sugar, salt, and milk; bring to a boil. Stir; take off heat. Wait until pudding is lukewarm, then add vanilla.
