MACAROON PIE 
12 saltine crackers, finely crushed
12 dates, finely chopped
1/4 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
Whipped cream

Combine cracker crumbs, dates, walnuts, sugar and baking powder. Beat egg whites stiff but not dry, add vanilla. Fold into dry ingredients and pour into buttered 9" pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool. Serve with whipped cream.
