CHOCOLATE `N OAT BARS 
1 c. unsifted flour
1 c. quick (1 minute) oatmeal
3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass pans). In bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter; mix well. Reserve 1/2 cup, press remaining oat mixture on bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking pan, ungreased. Bake 10 minutes.

Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crust. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Top with remaining oat mixture; press down. Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Do not overbake. Cool. Store covered at room temperature.
