BUTTERSCOTCH YAMS 
6 med. yams, cooked, peeled and quartered, or 2 (17 oz.) each cans yams, well drained
1/2 c. Karo corn syrup
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. heavy cream or Half and Half
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Microwave in 3 quart baking dish, corn syrup, brown sugar, cream, butter, salt and cinnamon. Microwave on High, stirring once, 3 to 4 minutes. Add yams; toss to coat well. Microwave, basting once, 6 minutes or until glazed.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
