DROPPED TEA CAKES | |
1 c. butter or shortening 2 eggs 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sour milk 1 tsp. vanilla Sift flour, salt and soda together. Cream shortening or butter together with the sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla to sour milk. Add half of dry ingredients to shortening mixture. Add sour milk and vanilla. Beat until thoroughly combined. Beat in remaining dry ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 350-375 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until edges are golden. |
