FRUIT COBBLER 
BATTER:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Line pan with fruit (fresh or canned). Mix batter and pour over fruit. Then pour topping over batter and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Use a 2-quart baking dish.
