3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
3 c. peanuts (or whole package)
1 c. white corn syrup
4 or 5 drops red food color

Mix everything but peanuts. Bring to boil. Add peanuts. Boil 7 minutes on medium high heat stirring once in a while. Take off heat. Add 1 stick butter. Beat until thick. Drop by large spoonfuls on aluminum foil.
