WANDA'S PEANUT PATTIES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. raw peanuts
1 c. milk
2/3 c. Karo syrup
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients above except butter and vanilla, in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, boiling until syrup reaches hard ball stage (260 degrees). When dropped in cold water, add vanilla and butter and beat until beginning to cream. Pour quickly into buttered muffin pans. Red food coloring may be added to syrup for color.
