MASTER MIX 
5 lb. all purpose flour
3/4 c. double acting baking powder
2 tbsp. cream of tartar
2 lb. vegetable shortening
2 1/4 c. dry milk solids
3 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar

Sift dry ingredients together. Then cut in shortening until mix looks like corn meal. Store at room temperature. Yield: 29 cups of mix.
