SWEDISH MEAT BALLS | |
1/2 c. fine bread crumbs 1/2 c. warm cream 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/4 lb. veal 1/4 lb. pork 1/2 c. milk 2 eggs yolks (beaten) 2 tbsp. minced onion 3 tsp. salt 1/3 tsp. pepper 1/8 tsp. allspice 4 tbsp. oil Soak crumbs in cream, combine with meat. Mix and add milk and egg, onion and seasonings. Form in medium or tiny balls and brown in hot oil. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Optional roll in flour. |
