BANNOCK DROPS 
2 c. milk
2 c. old fashioned oats
1/2 tsp. salt (try less)
1 egg, beaten
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Heat milk to lukewarm; add egg and oats. Let stand 30 minutes until oats are soft and liquid is absorbed. Add soda and salt. Drop on greased griddle by tablespoon. Wait until bubbles form on top; then turn. Serve warm with butter and jam.
