FRENCH KRAUT 
2 qt. grated cabbage
2 green peppers, finely chopped
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
4 sm. onions, finely chopped
3/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Mix well. Let stand 24 hours. Stays crisp even after several days if stored in sealed container. Delicious cole slaw without mayonnaise!
