ORANGE BOWKNOT ROLLS 
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. shortening
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 cake yeast
2 well-beaten eggs
1/4 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. orange peel
5 c. flour

Combine milk, shortening, sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Soften yeast in this mixture. Add eggs, orange juice and peel. Beat thoroughly. Add flour; mix to soft dough. Cover; let stand 10 minutes.

Place in greased bowl; let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Make into knots. Arrange on greased baking sheet. Cover; let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Spread with orange topping. Blend 2 tablespoons orange juice, 1 teaspoon grated peel and 1 cup powdered sugar. Makes 18 bows.
