CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE | |
1 (8 oz.) softened cream cheese 1 lb. softened butter 6 room temperature eggs 3 c. sugar 3 c. cake flour 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 tsp. almond extract Grease and flour a large Bundt pan or two loaf pans. Cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Add flour gradually. Next add salt and extracts and mix well. Spoon batter into prepared pans and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a 325 degree oven. DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN. The crust will be dark brown. Let cake cool 5 minutes before inverting to cooling rack or cake plate. Serve plain or with fresh fruit and whipped topping. Serves 15. |
