FRENCH TOAST 
Challah bread, cut 1 1/2" slices
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. heavy cream
1 egg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1/8 lb. sweet butter
Nutmeg & confectioners' sugar to sprinkle

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine juice, cream, egg, cinnamon, nutmeg and granulated sugar. Whisk well. Soak bread in mixture. Melt butter in heavy fry pan and when foaming, saute bread on both sides until golden brown. Bread will puff slightly. Arrange on platter. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Keep warm in oven until ready to serve. I always double recipe as bread absorbs mixture.
