SAUSAGE JAMBALAYA | |
2 lg. onions, chopped 1 lb. Hillshire sausage 2 (8 oz.) cans Del Monte tomato sauce 2 c. Mahatma rice, washed 4 c. water 3 beef bouillon cubes Brown onions until very dark; add tomato sauce. Cook until most of liquid from sauce has evaporated. Add sausage which has been thinly sliced and cooked. Add rice, water, and bouillon cubes. Add garlic powder and Tabasco; stir well. Bring to a boil. Cover pot and lower heat to medium for 20 minutes. Stir after 20 minutes with fork; cook uncovered 5 minutes or until liquid evaporated. Turn fire off and let sit for 10 minutes. |
