OATMEAL TOLL HOUSE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. oatmeal
1 lg. pkg. Toll House chocolate bits

Cream together shortening, brown and white sugars; add eggs, then flour alternately with water. (Soda and salt may be added to flour.) Beat until smooth. Fold into mixture 2 cups of oatmeal and Toll House bits. May need 1/4 cup more of oatmeal. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
