CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
1 (19.8 oz.) pkg. brownie mix (13 x 9-inch pan size)
1/2 c. vanilla or white chips
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp. butter (no substitutes), softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. orange extract

Prepare brownies according to package directions for cake-like brownies. Fold in vanilla chips. Spread half of the batter in a greased 13 x 9 x 9 baking pan.

In a small mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg, flour and orange extract. Carefully spread cream cheese mixture over batter. Drop remaining brownie batter by tablespoon over cream cheese layer.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.

Makes 16 brownies.

Frosting For Cream Cheese Brownies:

2 tbsp. butter
1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1 c. confectioners sugar
2 to 3 tbsp. milk

Spread over brownie mix after brownies have baked.
