YEAST RAISED DOUGHNUTS 
1 1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. butter
5 c. flour
2 pkgs. yeast
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
Vegetable oil

Heat butter and milk until warm (butter does not have to melt). Combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and nutmeg. Stir in warm milk mixture until smooth. Beat in 2 eggs and 1/2 cup flour. Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour with spoon to make dough.

Turn out onto floured surface and knead in remaining flour. Let dough rise/shape doughnuts. Deep fry until golden brown.
