1 1/2 c. flour
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
6 tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 c. water

Mix all dry ingredients together. Mix all fluids together. Combine dry and liquids together and mix well. Pour into an 8 x 8 inch square pan that has been greased and floured. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. This cake can be doubled for a large cake and use a 9 x 13 inch size pan. Some recipes call for dumping dry ingredients into pan and making 3 holes, etc. This is all unnecessary. This recipe is much faster. When cake is done, remove from oven and allow to cool in the pan. Make icing.

ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk

Place in saucepan and bring to boil, then add 1 box of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Beat well and spread on top of the cake. Half this for the small size cake.
