BAKED FRENCH TOAST | |
1 loaf French bread, cut into 1-inch pieces 6 lg. eggs 1 1/2 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. half & half 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. chopped walnuts 1 tbsp. corn syrup Butter a 9-inch square pan. Fill with bread, mix egg, milk, half & half, vanilla and spices. Pour over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight. In morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, walnuts, and corn syrup. Spread over butter and bake for 40 minutes. Serves 6-8. |
