HYDROX PIE 
1 1/2 lb. Hydrox cookies
1 env. Knox gelatin
1/3 c. cold water
1/3 c. boiling water
5 egg whites
3/4 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
1 pt. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Crush one box Hydrox pie (1 1/2 pound box) and line 9 x 13 pan. Soak one envelope Knox gelatin in 1/3 cup cold water and add 1/3 cup boiling water. Let cool but not harden.

Beat 5 egg whites; add 3/4 cup sugar and pinch of salt. Whip 1 pint of whipping cream.

Add gelatin to egg mixture then fold together egg mixture and whipped cream. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over crust. Chill to set.
