PIZZELLE 
6 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. anise
1 tbsp. orange rind

Melt butter and cool. Beat eggs, adding sugar gradually, until smooth. Add cooled butter, anise and orange rind. Sift flour and baking powder. Add to egg mixture. Dough will be thick enough to be dropped by spoonfuls onto hot pizzelle iron. Cook until golden brown. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
