HARD CANDY | |
1 c. Karo light corn syrup 1 c. water 4 c. sugar 1 tsp. oil flavoring (cinnamon or peppermint) Food color Cook syrup, water and sugar together until boils. Reduce heat and cook until it reaches 300 degrees or hard crack stage on candy thermometer. Take off heat and pour in flavorings. Put in food coloring until desired color. Pour onto powdered sugar cookie sheet. Put powdered sugar on top of candy with sifter. Let harden; crack with spoon. Note: Purchase oil flavorings at a Pharmacy. |
