GLAZED SWEET POTATOES | |
1 pkg. (3 oz.) Jello orange gelatin 1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar Dash of salt 1 c. boiling water 1 tbsp. butter 1 can (1 lb.) sweet potatoes, sliced Dissolve Jello, sugar and salt in boiling water in skillet. Add butter and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add sweet potatoes; cook, over medium heat, about 15 minutes, basting frequently. When syrup thickens and is glossy, remove from heat. Serve hot. |
