CRANBERRY/APPLE CASSEROLE | |
1 c. sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 3 c. chopped unpeeled Granny Smith apples 2 c. fresh cranberries 1 1/2 c. quick oats 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter Combine sugar and cornstarch; stir into apples and cranberries. Combine oats, brown sugar, flour and pecans. Melt butter and stir into oat mixture. Pour apple/cranberry mix into 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle oat/nut mixture over cranberry/apple mix. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Serve hot or cold with turkey or chicken. |
