1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. orange flavoring
3 1/2 c. flour
2 c. pecans
1 lb. orange slices, cut up
1 bag dates
2 c. coconut

Mix all ingredients real good until all is mixed well. Bake at 275 degrees for 2 1/2 hours.
