JULIE'S CHERRY CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 (18 1/4 oz.) chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
5 tbsp. softened butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, eggs, and fruit filling. Mix until well blended by hand. Do not use electric mixer. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until done.

FROSTING:

In a small pan, combine sugar, butter, and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and add chocolate and stir until pieces melt and frosting is smooth. Spread over cake. Makes 12 large servings.
