HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat milk and butter. Beat eggs and sugar gradually. Add milk, flour, baking powder and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees in a 9 x 13 inch loaf pan. Bake about 30 minutes or until cake springs back. Perfect for strawberry shortcake.
