MY FAVORITE CHILI RECIPE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 lg. clove garlic, or 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 2 tbsp. flour 1 to 2 tbsp. chili powder (1 mild, 2 hot) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1 1/2 c. V-8 vegetable juice 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed Brown meat and drain. Add garlic powder and flour. Stir to blend. (If you use garlic clove, add it while browning meat, then add flour.) Simmer. Add all of the next ingredients except for beans. Let cook for as long as desired, careful not to let cook dry. Add beans 30 minutes before serving. (Serves 2-3 people if big eaters.) |
