CHOCOLATE SYRUP MARBLE CAKE 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water plus 2 tbsp.
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chocolate syrup
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Cream Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and continue to beat. In separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to egg mixture, alternately with water and vanilla. Grease 10 inch tube pan and pour in 1/3 of the batter. To remaining batter, add chocolate syrup and baking soda. Mix at low speed. Pour on top of white mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.
