CHICKEN-STUFFING BAKE | |
1 c. water 1/4 c. butter 1 pkg. (7 oz.) stuffing mix 1 can (10 1/2 to 11 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup 1/2 c. mayonnaise 1/3 c. milk 2 stalks celery, chopped 1 c. drained, cooked broccoli, chopped 1/2 tsp. sage 2 c. diced chicken or turkey 1 c. shredded cheese, Cheddar 1. In 1 quart saucepan over high heat, heat water and butter to boiling. In large bowl, pour hot water mixture over stuffing mix. Toss to mix well. Pat 1/2 of the stuffing mixture into 12x8 inch baking dish. 2. In medium bowl, stir together soup, mayonnaise, milk, chicken, celery, broccoli and sage until well mixed. Spoon evenly over stuffing mixture in baking dish. Top with remaining stuffing mixture. 3. Bake at 400 degrees F. 30 minutes or until heated through. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 minutes more or until cheese is melted. Makes 6 servings. |
