BRANDY BALLS 
1 1/4 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
3 c. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. brandy
1 c. pecans, finely chopped
About 1 c. sifted powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Add egg yolk and mix well. Combine flour and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with brandy beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in pecans. Refrigerate the dough.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls, and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly, and roll in powdered sugar. Yield: 5 dozen.
