SPANISH HASH 
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. chopped onion
1 c. chopped green pepper
1 c. uncooked rice
Beef broth
1 (14-16 oz.) can tomatoes (2 c.), drain and reserve liquid
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 1/2 to 2 tsp. salt
1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans, drained

Cook ground beef, onion, and green beans in ovenproof skillet until meat is lightly browned. Stir in rice and cook 2 minutes longer. Add enough broth to reserved tomato liquid to make 2 cups. Stir broth mixture, tomatoes, seasonings, and beans into meat; heat to boiling.

Stir well; cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. Makes 6 servings.
