ITALIAN BEEF 
5 lb. rump roast or boneless chuck
2 tbsp. basil
1/2 tsp. garlic
1-2 bay leaves
1 1/2 tbsp. oregano
2 tsp. crushed red peppers
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
6 garlic buds
1 1/2 to 2 c. water

Score or partially slice beef. Place garlic buds between cuts/scores. Mix spices in water and pour over beef into pan. Cover and bake 3 hours at 325-350 degrees. Cut meat up and serve over/on hoagie buns.
