CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF (S.O.S.) 
1/4 lb. dried beef
3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
Pepper

Shred beef into smaller pieces. Soak meat in hot water for a few minutes and drain if you think it's too salty. Melt butter in fry pan and add meat to this, stirring for a couple of minutes. Sprinkle flour over this and mix well. Slowly add milk, continue to stir and cook over low heat until thickened. Season with pepper. Salt if desired.

Great with potatoes or on buttered toast. Serves 2-3.
