BROWN SUGAR CANDY | |
1 box brown sugar dash of salt 1 tbsp. white syrup 1 tbsp. butter 3/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. walnuts Cook sugar, salt, syrup, butter and milk to soft boil stage (238°F on candy thermometer). Cool without stirring to 110°F on candy thermometer. Add vanilla and beat until it holds its shape. Add nuts. Mix and then pour onto a buttered platter. When completely cooled, cut into squares. |
