SPANISH RICE | |
1/2 c. chopped onion 1/3 c. chopped green pepper 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 (8 oz.) can Hunt's tomato sauce 1 (20 oz.) can Campbell's tomato juice 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. Accent 1/2 bay leaf 1/2 c. UNCLE BEN'S® rice, uncooked Saute onion and green pepper in oil until tender. Add tomato sauce and tomato juice plus seasonings. Bring to a boil. Stir in UNCLE BEN'S® rice. Cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed. Makes 5 servings. |
