MONKEY BREAD | |
1 tbsp. yeast 2 c. warm water Combine together. Add: 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 eggs, lightly beaten 3 c. Wondra flour Add 1/2 cup oil, then 4 cups Wondra flour. Beat very well. It will be sticky. Do not add more flour. Raise 3 hours, covered with towel. Punch down and raise 3 hours more. Roll 1/2 dough at a time on lightly floured board. Roll 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick. Cut out with small orange juice can. Dip in melted butter. Stand close together in Bundt pan. Let rise 1 1/2 hour. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Let cool, then wrap in foil (reheat 15 minutes at 350 degrees). 20-30 circles = 2 pans. |
