POTATO DOUGHNUTS 
2 c. mashed potatoes
2 c. sugar
1/4 lb. butter
4 eggs
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. salt
Nutmeg to flavor
5 tbsp. baking powder
Flour to make soft dough - sticky

Put on well floured board. Cut with biscuit (with center for hole) cutter and fry in Crisco oil (heated to brown a cube of bread in 15 seconds) until top starts to crack. Turn and brown other side. Put powdered sugar in plastic bag and shake doughnuts until covered.
