1 sticks butter
1 c. water
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco

Warm in saucepan on medium heat.

2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients, flour, sugar, salt, soda and mix in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.

Mix this mixture in with the warm mixture and beat 1 minute, pour prepared mixture into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 lb. powdered sugar

Warm in saucepan. Pour frosting over brownies while still warm.
