DANISH DUMPLINGS FOR SOUPS 
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter in boiling water. Add flour and cook over low heat until the dough doesn't stick to pan sides. Cool - add eggs, unbeaten, one at a time. Beat vigorously after each egg. Drop by spoonful into soup. Cover and leave for 20 minutes. Makes about 15 dumplings. Don't boil soup with the dumplings.
