HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
2 lb. round steak
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sliced onion
1 sm. clove garlic
3/4 c. catsup
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire
2 tbsp. paprika
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Dash of red pepper
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. flour and 1/4 c. water (thickener)

Cut round steak into small cubes. Brown with onion in 1/4 cup shortening. Mix water and garlic, catsup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, paprika, salt, mustard, and red pepper. Add to meat. Simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Thicken with 2 tablespoons flour mixed in 1/4 cup water. Boil 1 minute. Serve over buttered noodles. This is good served over Noodles Romanoff, Italiano or Parmesan.
