1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. applesauce
1/2 c. nutmeats
1 c. raisins

Combine all ingredients; beat well. Put in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 40 minutes.
