CHOW MEIN CASSEROLE 
1/2 lb. veal
1/2 lb. pork
1 c. raw rice
3 c. hot water (use water in which celery was boiled)
2 c. celery, chopped in 1-inch pieces
1 onion, chopped
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 can mushroom soup
4 tbsp. soy sauce

Dice meats into bite-size cubes and brown; add the rice and hot water; add celery which has been boiled for 10 minutes; the chopped onion, brown sugar, mushroom soup and soy sauce. Pour into a casserole and top with cashew nuts, if desired. DO NOT ADD ADDITIONAL SALT. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
