PEACH DUMPLINGS 
3 c. sliced fresh peaches
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. pancake mix
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. melted butter

Combine peaches, water, sugar, and lemon juice in a 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring lightly. Drop batter from tablespoon into boiling peach mixture. Reduce heat, cover pan, and cook 15 minutes without lifting cover. Serve warm with ice cream. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
