PEACH DUMPLINGS 
3 c. sliced fresh peaches
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. melted or liquid shortening
1 c. Bisquick mix

Combine peaches, water, sugar and lemon juice in 3 quart saucepan. Bring to a boil. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring lightly. Drop batter from tablespoon on hot peach mixture. Reduce heat, cover tightly and cook 15 minutes without lifting cover. Serve warm with plain cream or peach or vanilla ice cream. Serves 6 to 8.
