PEACH COBBLER | |
8 to 10 fresh peaches 2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. minute tapioca 1 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. water Slice 8 to 10 fresh peaches. Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon minute tapioca. Place in bottom of glass baking dish, 8 x 8 inches. Cream together 2 tablespoons butter and 1/2 cup sugar; add and beat 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup milk. Pour over peaches. Sprinkle 1 cup sugar right on top of batter. Pour 1/2 cup water slowly on top of sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. |
